About DoxSunBlaster
Dox SunBlaster was created by Dr Steve Taylor back in 1998 for Farmers in the Waikato region who were at risk for exposure, but hated slapping on sticky creams and lotions when they were already coated with dust and muck during a hard days work.
He formulated a version that could be sprayed on, no need for any rubbing in. The high content of alcohol in the formula allows it to air dry in a minute leaving no sticky residue and has been used on movie sets worldwide including, Lord of the Rings and The Last Samurai, filmed here in New Zealand. It's unique formula means Make-up artists can spray it on as a base or alternatively, overtop of makeup.
Dennis ran Dox SunBlaster for the next 15years before we took over at the beginning of 2024.
Stephen and myself are boat owners and avid fisho's and were introduced to Dox SunBlaster by boating friends 6 years ago, who swore this was the best thing out for boats... Which we can now confirm is safely the case, as we have no damage to any of our clears, teak or varnished wood surfaces. Personally, I have struggled over the years to find something that i wouldn't react to and when Dennis said he was shutting up shop as he was retiring, we jumped at the chance to make sure Dox SunBlaster stayed available to everyone who loved it and we are on a mission to make it available to more New Zealanders.
We are currently in the process or having our final numbers being sent back from the lab in Australia, then we can finish the rebranding, bringing the old labelling up to current New Zealand Standards and add our new formulation to the mix and launch to the market. Meanwhile we will be keeping the original formula available to those of you who we have been speaking to, who have been using it for the last 20 or so years. Watch this space!
